Thompson steps forward from the crew, his eyes were bloodshot and every inch of his face indicate anger.
"I told you! you can never escape my grip. Nobody toys with Tom and go scot free, do you remember the words you said to me when we met last" He said in a voice that sounds more like lion roar.
"Funny thing is UNIDAB is my ramification. Well, am no longer interested in any relationship but am going to have all the fun i want with you today as well as buddies here. 3 rounds each, think of it as my parting gift." He added before laughing hysterically.
Halimat mind drifted into the past as she recalled how the break up took place.

The atmosphere is chilly that evening, the cold wind that follows the heavy downpour of july is bone freezing.
Halimat stood at the gate of a mansion, the environment is well kept, obviously, the residence of the 'well to do'. The cold is causing her to shiver in the sweatshirt and track trousers she wore, but she knew she need to achieve her mission here once and for all.
Just then Thompson appeared with his dreads dancing lazily in the wind. His face is dull indicating that he had just woke up.
"Hey babe, why don't you come in and lets discuss whats on your mind." He said with a sheepish smile.
"Never mind, I'm okay, I wont be here for long. I just intend to look you in the eye while telling you this so that you can know i am candid about it, else i'll have told you on the phone." Halimat stated.
" Hmmm, it sounds like it is something very important, proceed babe"
"I-uhm-I want to" she sighs
"You want to what?"
"I want out of this relationship, you aren't impacting of positively"
She said with tears running down her cheeks.
"Babe, you are joking right" Thompson said then scoffs
"Do I look like a person who would come in this cold weather to joke. FYI I'm dead serious"
Tom laughs callously " You've got to be f**king out of your mind to presume you can just break up with me like that. Do I look to you like piece of rag that you can use and dump" He said in a voice filled with rage.
"You can say whatever you want, but as far as I, Halimat Nasrdeen is concerned, am done with this parasitic relationship. Man us and live with it" Halimat retorted as she turned around an began jogging away from the mansion.
Thompson stood motionless and began pondering
"Is this really the end of it?, is our relationship really severed. No way, she ain't leaving me" He said to himself angrily suddenly craving to get high.
He was about to go inside to his stash of 'kush' when Halimat called him
"She had changed her mind already. I guess she know whats good for her." He thought to himself.
He turn around to see Halimat standing 50 metres away.
"I got one more thing for you, i am not a failure like you. I was offered admission at UNIDAB, contrary to your pessimistic believe. So I'm out of your grasp" She said before turning back and walking away leaving his ego more bruised than ever in his life.
"I will make you pay for this" He swore as he watch her disappear for the street.

Halimat's thought was appended by scream from one of the standing men, by now it is dark, so she couldn't see anything. She squinted her eyes only to observe that some of the men initially standing were one the ground and Thompson looks terrified. Suddenly, she felt a sharp pain at the back of her head was was losing consciousness. The last the she remember is seeing Thompson flee the scene before she blacked out.
